Audience Profiles

Our free Audience Profile helps you understand who’s visiting your site, who is converting, and what your highest value customers look like.  We can then help you find the most effective ways to reach these audience segments.

 

How do I get started with Audience Profiles?

  • Create a free account.
  • Place the pixels we provide on your site.
  • Wait for us to collect enough data.

 

Where should I place the landing page and/or conversion tracking pixel?

The landing page pixel should be placed on all of the landing pages where you reach prospective customers. This can include a universal footer.  The thank you page pixel should be placed on the confirmation page that you display to your customers after a successful transaction or signup.  In both instances, the pixel should be placed directly above the last </body> tag on the page. This ensures that the delivery of your website is not impacted by our pixel.

 

What kind of information is on the Audience Profile?

We provide a variety of demographic data points to help you better understand what your customers look like.  And, we then allow you to create a targeted display campaign that will reach that audience.

 

How many conversions do I need before my profile is complete?

We need several thousand conversions to create an accurate profile. We may be able to complete the profile sooner, but it typically takes at least 3000 conversions before we have statistically relevant data.

 

How can I buy advertising targeted to the highest indexing segments?

Choose the characteristics that you wish to target from the Audience Profile by selecting the checkbox to the left of the information and clicking the “Target” button. Alternatively, you can choose a minimum index and select the “Target” button. We will guide you through a three-step process to purchase targeted advertising.

 

What information do you collect?

We observe anonymous records of visitors to your site. We partner with third-party data providers who have associated non-personally identifiable information with audience cookies. All of the analysis done through our system is done in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

 

How can I segment high-value customers from low-value customers?

There are two ways to distinguish your customers in our systems. You can send transaction values to our system through the “amt=####.##” parameter. We will provide you with the ability. Alternatively, you can create separate goals for high- and low-value customers.

 

How is audience targeting different than retargeting?

Retargeting campaigns allow you to show display ads to users who have visited your site previously.  Audience targeting is allowing you to target users who share the characteristics of your high value customers / site visitors across the web (and regardless of whether they have ever visited your site).
